HYDRA is the first dual optic mount designed for end-users that offers a 2.91” or 7,39cm Optic Centerline for faster target ID, regardless of gear/ equipment obstructions, ie. EarPro/Comms headsets, Gas masks/ CBRN, and Night vision use. A higher Optic allows for a more athletic posture and “Heads up” attitude that enables the end-users to maintain a vertical spine which translates to body armor or “presenting plates” to the threat. This “Heads up” style allows for faster processing speed and increased situational awareness.
The unique and patented design offers an elevated MIL-STD-1913, or Picatinny platform for directly attaching accessories such as lights, optics, and aiming devices. It’s perfect for the super short PDW/SMG platforms where rail space is limited but the need for mounting a light and laser is still critical. The pass-through on the neck allows for cable management or iron sight passthrough.
There is no longer a need for compromise on grip because of equipment or relocating hands because of limited rail space. This is achieved by elevating accessories like the light or laser off the Picatinny and closer to the red dot optic. This alleviates obscuration and brings the weight to the center of the platform over the magazine well.
Although specifically designed for the EOTECH EXPS Series, the mount is also compatible with other optic brands that have MIL-STD-1913 rail/ Picatinny attachments. Please note that only Lower Thrid Co-Witness or 1.57“ or 40mm mounts will be lifted to a optical line of 2.91“ or 74mm!
