Background:

The drive to develop ever better and more accurate triggers for long-range shooting and precise hunting shots led to the development of a completely new trigger system.

The idea of positioning bullets offset from each other to achieve optimum force distribution resulted in a trigger system patented by Bix'n Andy.

The compact design makes it possible to build a very good trigger even in very tight spaces, such as those found in the Blaser R93.

Material and manufacturing:

All less stressed parts of the trigger are made of high-strength aluminum.

Stressed parts such as the detent or the lug are made of stainless tool steel.

Manufacturing is mainly carried out on a 4-axis machining center with Heidenhain control.

The anodizing of the aluminum parts and the hardening of the stainless steel parts are carried out by specialized companies.

Functionality:

This trigger system utilizes the simple yet effective properties of balls arranged in a staggered pattern. Due to the special arrangement, the balls try to deflect sideways. The significantly reduced force of the firing pin allows for a low trigger pull weight with absolute safety.

An example of this trigger system is the Atzl ball fine trigger for Tikka, which uses the advantages of this special ball arrangement to achieve an extremely low trigger pull weight while maintaining maximum safety.
