With the PGW Vario Mirage Band, the rising air is directed to the side and kept away from the line of sight. The mirage band is made of stainless steel and a special nylon material that allows over 50% stretch. Due to the elasticity of the material and the adjustable length, the mirage band can be mounted in such a way that the tension of the band does not negatively affect the barrel's vibration behavior. Additionally, you can use one mirage band for multiple weapons.
To mount it on your weapon, you need a front attachment point in the form of a mirage band screw, which is optionally available for all PGW muzzle brakes. If your weapon already has a mirage band screw, you can, of course, use it. For the rear attachment, you have two mounting options. If your weapon has a rear mirage band screw, you can use it. Alternatively, you can simply hook the mirage band onto the front scope mount ring.
The main features of this mirage band are:
- Elastic nylon band, manufactured according to MIL-W-5664 standard, very stretchable and durable
- Front attachment compatible with all PGW muzzle brakes, but also for attachment points from other manufacturers
- Rear attachment can either be mounted using a mirage band screw or hooked onto the scope ring
- Solid but lightweight stainless steel construction, black coated
- Continuously adjustable for barrel lengths between 450mm and longer
